Following another quarter featuring thousands of excellent Blue Wire podcasts enjoyed by listeners across the globe, we’re recognizing four more shows who earned shoutouts. These awards are decided by Blue Wire staff and based on the great work we see posted daily across the network.
Big Screen Sports receives the Coverage Maestro award for getting a book written by podcaster Kyle Bandujo covering sports movies published! Movies with Balls: The Greatest Sports Films of All Time, Analyzed and Illustrated demonstrates Kyle’s unique expertise at the intersection of sports and film and helps to further establish Big Screen Sports as the go-to podcast for sports movie lovers.
Browns Film Breakdown receives the Blowin’ Up Award for launching an accompanying Substack to offer additional written and podcast content to fans of the show. Jake Burns’ work at Browns Film Breakdown has already drawn more than 1,000 subscribers, a testament to the quality of his Cleveland coverage.
Candlestick Chronicles receives the Standout Episode Award for interviewing 49ers legend and newly enshrined NFL Hall of Famer Patrick Willis in August, just a few weeks after Willis was officially inducted in Canton. Getting a player of Willis’ caliber is always huge for a podcast, but the timing of this interview was as good as it gets.
Andy and Ari receives the Spectacular Sponsorship Award for not just sharing their love of Wendy’s new spicy nuggets, but featuring a taste test live during an episode! Blue Wire podcasters are adept at incorporating sponsors as key parts of their shows, and enjoying Wendy’s during an episode was a fun way to bring listeners closer to the partners who power their favorite shows.
