Position Overview: 

Blue Wire is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to drive outbound partnership growth through targeted outreach. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, and engaging prospective brand partners and content creators, helping to build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.

Working with key internal teams, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with the sales and network departments to execute outreach, refine messaging strategies, and support overall business development efforts.

The ideal candidate is a strong written communicator who is comfortable with high-volume outreach, highly organized in managing leads and follow-ups, and motivated by building new relationships while growing as a sports media professional.

Responsibilities:

• Execute high-volume, targeted outreach campaigns to prospective brand partners and content creators via email, social platforms, and other communication channels

• Research and identify potential partnership opportunities aligned with company goals, including influencers, creators, and brand collaborators

• Personalize outreach messaging to effectively communicate value propositions and drive engagement

• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads, tracking outreach efforts and responses

• Qualify inbound and outbound leads, assessing fit, interest level, and partnership potential

• Schedule and coordinate introductory calls or meetings between prospects and internal stakeholders

• Collaborate with sales and network teams to align outreach strategies with campaigns and brand positioning

• Stay up to date on industry trends, creator ecosystems, and competitive partnerships to inform outreach strategy

• Assist in nurturing long-term relationships with partners through consistent communication and follow-up initiatives

Qualifications:

• Strong written communication and persuasion skills

• Comfort with leading outreach and handling rejection professionally

• Highly organized with attention to detail

• Self-motivated with a proactive, results-driven mindset

• Interest in influencer marketing, partnerships, or digital media ecosystems

• Experience with Microsoft Suite of office products

• Understanding of top social platforms: LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

• Sports enthusiast and up to date on leagues, teams, and major storylines  

• Comfortable working in a remote environment  

• Have a collaborative mindset
